This cigar was released at the 2012 IPCPR, and the term Salutem is Latin for friendly greeting; and I have to say this cigar greets you with a multitude of flavors.

The pre light draw has hints of cedar, spice and tobacco. After lighting, the first few puffs add a pepper and nutty taste to the equation. Starting the 2nd third of the cigar sweetness comes into play; others have said it is due to the Cameroon in the filler, which is unusual as Cameroon is normally used for wrappers.

 

I found this cigar medium in strength in the beginning, but it transitioned to a more full flavored stick in the final third.  With all the great new cigars coming out each year don't forget the old favorites.
