San Lotano Oval Review

The San Lotano Oval by AJ Fernandez is quickly becoming one of my favorite cigars; Jake at Patriot Cigars, which is the local brick and mortar store that we frequent recommended it to me. As some of you may know AJ Fernandez has been making cigars for several years primarily for other people. The San Lotano is one he kept for his line. As I said before it is quickly becoming one of my favorites, I really like the oval shape I think it allows for a better draw than the round or box press. I have used both a straight and wedge cut, and tend to prefer the wedge cut for this cigar.
The flavors in this cigar are only limited by your palette, and I found it to be in the med-full range.

On the pre light draw I found hints of oak as well as chocolate. After lighting there was lots of smoke and the flavors continued to develop with hints of coffee and spice in the second half of the cigar. I highly recommend this cigar, the price point is a little high but well worth rewarding yourself with.

Draw, construction and burn were excellent.

Thanks for reading
