Herrera Esteli Lancero

Cigar Tipsters Rating:

7.5/10

This cigar is very well construed and is rolled Entubado, which is a more Cuban style of rolling cigars, and is very difficult to perform. Drew Estate took some of there top rollers and assigned them to the Esteli project.

The pre light draw has hints of cedar, spice and tobacco. The first third of the cigar you continue to get the aforementioned flavors as well as subtle hints of cream that make for a very smooth and enjoyable smoke.  I found it to be in the medium to full range; the construction and draw were very good as well as the burn.

Continuing into the mid point of the smoke, the flavor remains the same with a hint of sweetness becoming more prevalent, the cigar features lots of smoke but not a lot of change in flavor or strength.

I did smoke the cigar until it was burning my fingers which is a good sign that I liked the cigar and will be adding a few to my humidor.

The Herrera Esteli is available in 6 sizes ranging from 7x38 to a 6x54.

Thanks for reading
