The La Aurora 107 Maduro is a cigar that I have smoked many times, and it is something that can usually be found in my humidor. The 107 Maduro is a cigar that I have intended to review for some time, but never had, so I figured it was time to remedy that. This is has great construction and the pre-light draw gives hints of cedar and cocoa, and that made me want to dig into this thing, so I decided to go with a punch cut.

Maduro cigars can be harsh or bitter when smoking if the blend is not ideal, but the 107 Maduro is neither harsh nor bitter; in fact, this cigar is one of the smoothest maduro cigars that I have found. The first third of this cigar brings in a nice coffee flavor but also maintains a spicy pepper overtone, which is most noticeable on the retro hale.

My one complaint about this cigar is that it tends to be a bit inconsistent as you move towards the middle of the cigar and eventually towards the end. Coffee, cocoa, and pepper are the main flavors but which flavor you get when is hard to guess, and there are also cedar hits that pop up here and there. Overall I gave this cigar an 8, it is a stick that I have smoked several times and will smoke many times in the future.
