Curivari Buenaventura 560
Cigar Tipsters Rating:
Scoring a 94 with Cigar Aficionado and making the #7 spot on the 2013 Best of list, I had to give this Buenaventura 560 a try. Heading into Lone Star Tobacco, I was happy to find these guys stocked on the shelf and even happier at the $5.60 price tag! I like the look of this cigar – with the Cuban Style, “old school” simple band and the soft box press shape to the medium brown Nicaraguan Wrapper that has a slight sheen to it. I am here to say this cigar really looks inviting.
The initial flavors I got were earthy tobacco with a chocolate sweetness, a solid medium strength. The flavor moves to more toasted nuts with leather and a hint of spice on the back side. This cigar delivers a ton of creamy white smoke. The draw is near perfect and open. If I had one negative thing to point out – the burn line tends to wonder a bit but always self corrects without any issues. I was expecting more pepper like you would normally get with any Nico Puro – but, overall this is a very smooth blend and a very enjoyable smoke. I have had 8 or 9 of these and it’s become a favorite to #Bomb to my fellow Tweeple both here and across the pond.
