From the box it self you get a old school 50's look and feel I had been on the look out for this cigar after hearing about it on a pod cast Over A Cigar where Rick Rodriguez of CAO was a guest and talked in depth about the Flathead line.

The prelight draw had flavors of strong dark roast coffee and cocoa the wrapper is oily with a silky smooth touch the construction is a 54 ring gauge box press.

After lighting you pick up some spice as well as hints of earth and well aged tobacco along with the coffee and cocoa notes. The sweetness continues to be the dominant flavor as the others fade in and out trough the entire cigar the finish is long and lingers on the palette for a while; great cigar for after a meal with your choice of adult beverage.

 

You will definitely find a few of these in my locker at the local brick and mortar as well as my travel humidor.
