Camacho Blackout

Cigar Tipsters Rating:

7.7/10

This cigar is very well construed with a dark wrapper, and is a limited run for 2013 with 1000 boxes of 20 being produced. It is a 4-year blend of tobaccos: 2003, 2006, 2008, and 2009. After rolling the cigars were aged for another 2 years before being released, and the wrapper is press fermented.

The pre light draw has hints of cedar, spice and tobacco. After lighting you get a pepper hit to the back of your palate. Camacho puts this at a 4 out of 5 on their strength scale but I found it to be more in the medium to full range. The construction and draw were very good as well as the burn, but I have heard mixed reviews on the burn from other smokers.Continuing into the mid point of the smoke the flavor remains the same with a hint of sweetness coming into play. Lots of smoke and a nice silver grey ash, not a lot of change in flavor or strength I was hoping for more complexity with the blend of years and countries that are featured in this cigar.

I did smoke the cigar until it was burning my fingers which is a good sign I liked the cigar I could see a few finding there way to my humidor, but not a box purchase.

Thanks for reading
