The Gurkha Signature 1887 Red is a Natural Wrapper cigar and its counterpart, Black has a Maduro Wrapper.  I stumbled upon these when my cigar shop was moving locations and things were not always put away in the right spot.  I honestly thought I was buying a Gurkha Assassin - but grabbed these instead. 

 

My mistake in selection must have been destiny.  I LOVE this cigar.  It has a mild buttery smooth flavor with slightly sweet taste, a great burn, nice draw and was a thumb burner for sure.  I did not want this one to end (Glad I bought 3).  There are days you want a bold, complex full flavor cigar and then there are days you want a very smooth mild smoke, this one is definably the latter.   

 

I’m giving taste a 7 due to its mild neutral flavor.  I did experience some burn issue, but it may have been the ceiling fans running in my local ice house more than the construction itself.
Gurkha Cigars have yet to disappoint me. 

 

This would be a great choice for special occasions when you are “gifting” a few away to some friends or family.  I am certain they would enjoy it.  Support your local cigar shop and pick up a few today.
